Crossroads
Crossroads in life are defined as roads that “cross you over.” We have all experienced a time when we had to cross over to the other side of a thing. Do you remember a crossroad? It probably incited much anxiety and or depression depending on what it was, right?
June can be perceived as a month marked by transitions: people are graduating, the seasonal shift from spring to summer, and, we have most importantly have gotten through the first half the year. All of the above are important roads we crossed and for some these are milestones. I believe in order for one to successfully cross to the other side one should have a clear idea and insight of the “self”: Who Are You Really? This week I would like for us to pause for a moment and ask ourselves, “Who Are We?” and “Who Do People Say That We Are?” Your assignment is to make two lists. The first list you will write down your top five qualities and note how you have been utilizing these qualities to progress and have success. The second list you will write down five areas that you desire to improve and note what you have been doing to initiate change. Be honest with yourself when composing both lists.
While doing the above assignment this week, you may realize a need to initiate a change in the way you are navigating through life. Please take note that the word “hang” is hidden in change. Over the next seven days of discovering the “self” this process may reveal that we have been personally “hang-ing” our progress, success, ideas, prosperity, and all the other successes that we have yet to achieve. Now that we have accepted that everything starts within us in seed form, let us take the necessary measures to cross to the other side. With the six months remaining in 2017, lets do what it takes to “cross you over” to accomplish your dreams and goals.
